Finding beauty in everyday life through street photography

Hello and welcome! I’m Olivier – a street photographer with a curious heart, a love for stories, and a camera that is almost always within reach. I live in the enchanting city of Bruges, a place where cobblestones whisper old tales and everyday life unfolds like a theatre waiting to be noticed. This is where I wander, searching for the extraordinary hiding quietly in the ordinary.

For me, street photography is a little bit like treasure hunting. I’m drawn to fleeting glances, silhouettes against the evening light, the dance of shadows on ancient walls, and those unscripted moments that most people pass by without a second thought. Each photograph I take is not only about what I see, but also about how it feels to stand in that exact moment – the hush of a side street, the laughter of strangers, the golden glow of dusk. Through my lens, I try to invite you into these small worlds, to see beauty where you least expect it.

This journey has brought me some wonderful adventures. Back in 2014, while studying at the London School of Photography, I was thrilled to be named Student of the Week – a moment that sparked even more passion for this art form. Since then, my work has been exhibited across Belgium: with Oostkust Kunst and later with Belle Epoque. In 2024, I had the incredible honor of presenting my first solo exhibition in Knokke-Heist, a dream come true. My photographs have also been featured further afield – in 2023 I was published in Fujilove Magazine in Switzerland, and in 2022 I was invited to share my story on Belgium’s Radio 2 Podcast.

But more than exhibitions or features, what truly excites me is the chance to connect with you. This website is a window into my way of seeing – a playful collection of images that celebrate life’s hidden gems. So take a stroll through my gallery as you would through the streets of Bruges: slowly, curiously, and with an open heart. Who knows?
